    Using bank to control yaw @04:20 Can you please elaborate? In my understanding the roll causing yaw will stop once rolling action is stopped. Or is it like the bank+crab method for landing in high x-winds? As always a great video, thank you.

    The theory: "F = m x a" the questions: "a pilot went to Africa, got bit by a monkey, got sucked by 1027 mosquitoes, drank tap water, had s*x with 3 disease-bearing p**********, drank a cocktail of 5 liters of pure alcohol with 1 liter of AVGAS and ate some rotten fish; what speed and color had the car that killed his great-grandma and what was the quote for NVIDIA stock that morning?"

    doesnt the speed of the aircraft affect the planning though? if you point down 3 degrees at 500mph arent you going to travel further than when you're closer to the airport at 200mph? how do you plan for that

    Hey there Grand! Thank you for what you do. I wanted to add a comment about your question #17. In the ATPL Questions bank the right answer for that question is the one you thought of, D (or #4). Flight to C and then back. I leave here the number for anyone interested 626960. All in all it has about 35 comments and clearly people disagree between A and D. But apparently in some official exams answer D is the correct one. (So it would be wrong in the AirHead question bank). I believe that’s at least confirmed for Spain (SENASA) Anyways have a great day, I’ll keep grinding the question bank for a couple more hours :)

    Thanks a lot! Although I do have a question; in the last part you say that the waves slows down, and there is more resistance, over water (as opposed to land). Shouldn't this be the other way around? i.e. more resistance over land, I thought refraction is always towards the coast(land) and slows down over land due to buildings, vegetation, mountains etc.

    Just wanted to share a small little trick to remember how the rhumb line is drawn. Think about a pizza slice 🍕 If you are in the NH, the lines will be converging towards the N, the crust (RL) will be down of the GC line. SH opposite, lines of the 2 points diverge towards the N, crust (RL) above GC line. Just like the pizza!🍕 Thanks for making this content Grant❤

    Hey Grant, thank you for your videos that trying to break hard things to easy. I've noticed something: at 11:44 it is written that as we descent in the friction layer, over land and at night, wind back 45° and its strength is reduced by 35%. At 13:45, in the summary section, it is written 45° and 25%. Which data is the correct one? Thank you in advance. QC.

    Great job, I am learning so much here and I owe it to you. However I am a bit confused about shortest distance between two points on earth being a great circle. If those two points are on the same latitude, other than equator, wouldn't the shortest distance be a small circle? i.e the circle does not have the center at the center of earth? Can someone clarify this please?

    • @atplclass
      @atplclass 22 дні тому

      No, the shortest distance between those two points on the same latitude wouldn't be to actually follow the line of latitude it would be to follow a "curved" great circle track. This is due to the curvature of the earth.
